Construction Materials Testing Technician Trainee

Intermountain Materials Testing (IMT) is a geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing and inspection firm serving clients throughout south-central Washington and Northern Oregon from our office in Pasco. Due to a rapidly increasing workload, we are accepting applications from individuals experienced in sampling, testing, and inspection of construction materials (soils, concrete, masonry, HMA, steel, etc.) IMT offers competitive wage and benefit programs including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid holidays, paid personal time off, medical leave and retirement programs after appropriate waiting periods.

The position will involve the testing and inspection of construction materials in the laboratory and on construction project sites.

General work schedule:

• 7:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday
• Schedule changes frequently to accommodate our client's construction schedule
• Overtime on short notice occurs frequently
• Occasional weekend work is required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in mathematics at the algebra level
• English communication skills are a must
• Physical ability to regularly lift heavy objects and work extended hours on your feet in inclement weather conditions
• A clean driving record and valid state driver’s license
• Certification in one or more fields by WAQTC, ICC/WABO, ACI or other recognized agency in an appropriate area
