Cloud Solution Architect - Azure Security

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model: Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-Time (FTE)

• 10+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in Cloud Solution Architecture
• Hands-on experience designing secure, scalable cloud-native applications
• Strong experience with Azure Cloud (preferred) and modern frontend frameworks
• Proven experience leading architecture, security, and enterprise integration initiatives

• Architect and design modern frontend applications using Angular, React, or similar frameworks .
• Design and implement secure authentication and authorization solutions across enterprise applications.
• Lead cloud security architecture, including Identity & Access Management (IAM) .
• Architect and implement SSO, MFA, Identity Federation , and token-based authentication solutions.
• Design secure API architectures and enterprise integrations using REST APIs and API Gateway .
• Define and implement security models using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and JWT .
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, DevOps, and Business teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.
• Conduct architecture reviews, threat modeling, risk assessments, and security design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards, governance, and cloud best practices.
• Mentor development teams on secure coding standards, frontend architecture, and cloud security.

• Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure (Preferred), Cloud-Native Architecture
• Frontend Technologies: Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Identity & Security: IAM, Authentication & Authorization, SSO, MFA, Identity Federation
• Security Protocols: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML 2.0, JWT
• API Security: REST APIs, API Gateway, Secure API Design & Integration
• Cloud Security: Tokenization, Data Protection, Encryption, Secure Application Design
• DevSecOps: Secure SDLC, CI/CD Security, Security Best Practices
• Architecture: Enterprise Solution Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Microservices

• Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-500) or equivalent cloud certifications
• Experience with Zero Trust Security architecture
• Strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks and governance
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions
