Field Service Technician

job summary:
Global manufacturer is seeking a Field Service Technician to add to their team in the Castile, NY area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repair of electromechanical equipment and a good work ethic. Experience with electrical wiring or refrigeration a plus, otherwise training will be provided. Must be open to occasional on-call work, which is about 1 night per week and every 4 weekends. Some overnight travel required, about 25%. Overtime paid at 1.5 over 40 hours and company vehicle provided. This is a day shift role with excellent benefits and 401K!

responsibilities:

• Responsible for the proper and timely installation of mechanical equipment on dairy farms

• Advise customers on the proper use, operation and maintenance of the electromechanical equipment

• Drive a service vehicle, and maintain the vehicle and parts/tools needed to complete the job

• Minimum high school degree and strong mathematical aptitude required

• Experience with electrical wiring which is high/low circuitry a plus

• Welding, fabrication and HVAC abilities a plus, will train on HVAC for the right candidate

• Willingness to work rotating on-call schedule and overnight travel around 25%
