Work schedule will be Full-time on the Night Shift, Monday-Friday varying nights with every other weekend.

Summary:
Works under the supervision of RNs and LPN clerical support to a nursing unit and facilitate communication for patients, team members, professional and technical staff, and visitors.

* 1 Year job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Administrative or Clerical

The Acute Care Unit (ACU) is a 50-bed medical surgical unit that provides care for patients of various ages and diagnoses. Most ACU patients are admitted under the care of Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) physicians. Common diagnoses include asthma exacerbation, bronchiolitis/RSV, pneumonia, cellulitis/abscess, fever in neonates, dehydration, gastroenteritis, and post-operative care for tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy or bilateral myringotomy tube placement. The average length of stay for our patients is approximately two days.


Nurses on ACU have the opportunity to develop and refine a wide range of clinical skills, including IV placement, NG tube insertion, CVL care, gastrostomy tube care, and medication administration.
