Job Title: Perioperative RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room, Perioperative Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 0 years License: Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state Certifications: Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire Must-Have: - Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques - Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions - Great team player with excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening - Cool tempered with emotional and physical stamina - Ability to respond effectively in stressful situations with changing circumstances Description: Join our Surgical Team as a Perioperative RN. You play an essential role in the provision of care to patients before, during, and after operations and procedures. You are efficient with a high level of attention to detail and passionate about patient safety. The ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive range of general nursing skills and be adaptable to learn new skills without hesitation. Due to the rural location, the position will require your ability to respond quickly and accurately in a wide variety of situations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their nursing skills. The anticipated schedule is weekdays and requires rotating on-call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of surgical operation procedures, prior experience in pre-op and/or PACU, and skills in Pre-op, PACU, and Circulating all General, Ortho, & O.B. cases. You should also be available to help in emergency cases. Ideal candidates will be skilled enough to provide care for surgical patients during emergency call cases when they are the sole O.R. nurse in-house.
