Date Posted:2026-09-11Country: United States of AmericaLocation: OT541: TFP - Florence, SC 1500 Otis Way, Florence, SC, 29501 USAThis position is responsible for managing the Tool Facility at the Otis Elevator facility located in Florence, South Carolina on the 1st shift. This position will manage the planning, staffing, and day-to-day operations for the cells and support functions composed of hourly team members, as well as monitor field orders and schedules to ensure tooling and scheduled delivery dates are met. Additionally, this position is responsible for the cells meeting quality, delivery, and EH&S goals. The candidate must have experience in effectively leading and motivating teams and a good understanding of lean principles.Experience/QualificationsAbility to motivate, coach, and lead hourly employees.Understand customer service and online tool order system.Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite.Effective communication (both written and verbally) and interpersonal skills.Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical repair/service applications.Have a good understanding of lean principles and value stream ownership.Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing teams of 15+ people.Basic understanding of field installation tooling and installation process.Demonstration of sound leadership skills with a sense of urgency to obtain results.Ideal candidate aims to continuously improve and meet stretch goals with a positive attitude.The person must be willing & able to work in a fast-paced maintenance environment.Proven history of cultivating trust and accountability within a high-performing team.Be a voice for Continuous Improvement and train team members while completing daily tasks.Must have a good understanding of market changes and experience with new product launches.Understand the shipping and receiving function as well as the customs process for international shipping.Strong time management and organization skills; ideal candidate aims to continuously improve and meet stretch goals with a positive attitude.Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with various groups including Materials, Purchasing, Supply Management, Engineering, Contract Logistics Center, Finance, HR, EH&S, and IT.Education / Certifications· AA/AS degree with 5 to 10+ years of experience· BA/BS degree with 4 to 7+ years of experience· MA/MS degree with 2 to 5+ years of experienceIf you live in a city, chances are we will give you a lift or play a role in keeping you moving every day.
