Physician - Anesthesiology

Job Details:

• Seeking both full-time and PRN general anesthesia MDs to cover up to 12 full weeks per year
\n
\n
• Weekday shifts run from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
\n
\n
• Beeper call coverage from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM Monday through Friday with unrestricted call
\n
\n
• Weekend coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with unrestricted call
\n
\n
• Infrequent weeknight callback and occasional weekend cases
\n
\n
• MDs will supervise 2-3 CRNAs during weekday elective hours
\n
\n
• MDs will work own cases after transitioning down to one room at the end of weekday CRNA shifts
\n
\n
• MDs will work own cases on weekends
\n
\n
• Cases include General, General Robotic, Vascular, GI Endoscopy, Non-elective Orthopedic, and Minor Neuro
\n
\n
• Daily patient volume varies by season, ranging from 5 to 15 cases daily with higher volume on endoscopy days
\n
\n
• Facility systems include Medaxion, Meditech, Pyxis, and GE Aisys
\n
\n
• Position is covering for leave

This facility is an 88-bed community hospital operating at approximately 70% capacity during peak season and 40% during off-season. The facility features 3 operating rooms and 1 endoscopy room, supported by a team of surgical technicians, circulating nurses, a charge nurse, and an on-site director. It is not a trauma center and focuses on a broad range of surgical specialties in a collaborative environment.
