Oracle DBAApex Systems combines with parent company On Assignment to make it the 2nd largest IT staffing agency in the country. Apex has an opportunity for an Oracle DBA for a client in a fully remote setting. Here are the details:Position: Oracle DBALocation: RemoteRate: NegotiableDuration: 12+ Month W2 Rolling Contract (Potential to Go Perm)Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Install and configure Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.4, for a medium configuration.Set up a repository using the latest recommended database template on RHEL 6.8.Migrate the existing repository (11.2.0.3).Provide detailed documentation on the set and configuration process.Create RMAN Repository.Create RMAN Backup Scripts using the repository. (Full and Image Copy)Provide detailed documentation for creating/configuring the repository.Review our data guard configuration.If needed, provide documentation of recommendations following best practices.Provide a working model for testing using the recommendations.Document migrating our existing databases to ASM using best practices.Provide a working model for testing.Create a script to automate the process.Create a script to setup and configure Oracle 19.5 Enterprise edition single node cluster including data guard.Provide detailed documentation and review with the team.Must Haves:At least 7 years as a Senior DBA with experience in the following platforms with preference in the order listed:DB2 - LUWSQL ServerPostgresqlNice to Haves:Shell scriptingTuningMonitoringExperience with ansible, github, prometheus is a plus.
