About the Position

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NC or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) - Weekend availability (typically 6 weekend shifts every 8-week schedule) - Ability to float to adult inpatient areas as needed Description: We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience. Certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS are required. Knowledge and skills in arterial line management and care of ventilated patients are essential. Candidates should be able to administer blood products and understand infection prevention protocols. Experience with continuous IV sedations and management of patients with acute and chronic renal failure is necessary. Candidates should be proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias. Familiarity with charting systems, specifically Epic, is preferred. The role may involve caring for patients with various diagnoses, including sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-surgical patients. Interdisciplinary support is available on the unit from various teams. Travel experience is required for this position. The hiring process will include compliance with all necessary health and safety protocols. Candidates should be prepared to meet attendance expectations throughout the contract duration. This position will contribute significantly to the care of adult and geriatric patients in a critical care setting.
