Pharmacy Technician - Kansas City, MO

Seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a retail background to support a busy pharmacy in Kansas City, MO. This role offers approximately 32 hours per week, working Monday through Friday on a rotating shift schedule, providing a stable opportunity with potential for permanent employment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and accuracy in prescription processing.


Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting patients in person and via phone, addressing questions, and resolving medication or insurance concerns
• Accurately process prescriptions, including data entry, insurance billing, and labeling, handling a volume of approximately 150 prescriptions daily
• Support non-sterile compounding activities with provided training, preparing medications according to established formulas and safety standards
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to clarify prescription details and ensure timely medication dispensing
• Manage inventory, stock medications, and maintain the proper storage and organization of pharmacy supplies

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician License required
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a retail Pharmacy Technician; candidates with closed-door settings may find this environment challenging due to high patient interaction
• PTCB certification is advantageous but not mandatory
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and determination to contribute effectively in a collaborative setting

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating shifts: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM
