This crucial role entails utilizing scheduling tools, assembling and loading the company truck, managing paperwork and computer tasks, and ensuring accurate unloading and placement of materials in our plant. Freshpack specializes in custom cheese packaging, creating and innovating cheese products and packaging solutions. Our products are available in all 50 states and in major retailers. Your Responsibilities Safely operate the company truck to transfer materials between our North and South plants. Pick up and deliver materials to and from local vendors as necessary. Assemble, load, and unload materials, ensuring their proper placement in the plant. Accurately complete all required paperwork and computer entries in a timely manner. Maintain accurate labeling of skids and update racks with correct tags. Monitor product temperatures daily and report any issues to the maintenance department. Conduct basic truck and equipment checks, including oil levels, inspections, and cleanliness. Keep an organized workspace to support production and shipping & receiving efficiency. Additional Duties Cross-train for other roles within the Shipping & Receiving department. Assist in production tasks once Shipping & Receiving assignments are accomplished. Maintain cleanliness in cooler and dock areas by sweeping and organizing. Prepare for incoming products to enhance the receiving process. Safely operate warehouse equipment as needed. Requirements Must hold and maintain a valid CDL - Class B license. Must have a current DOT medical card. 1+ years of forklift experience preferred. Strong communication skills are essential. Proficient computer, reading, writing, and math skills required. Ability to lift heavy items (50 lbs.+). Shift Information Days: Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential overtime to better serve our clients.
