This position is located at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. Full time nights: 10pm - 6:30am, Mon-Fri, rotating weekends once fully trained. Sign on Bonus for experienced techs!

Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, our Sterile Processing Technicians perform the daily cleaning, inspection and sterilization of our surgical instruments in support of the operating room and outpatient practices. In addition, we offer a robust benefits package which includes:

Summary: Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Processes specialty and general instruments.
• Resets instrument sets without error.
• Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure.
• Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels.
• Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing.
• Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.

Licenses and Credentials: Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required within first year of employment.

Experience: Related experience 1-2 years preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to follow dept processes and procedures in alignment with regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment built on a foundation of teamwork.
