About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Distribution Center Operations to lead the strategic planning and coordination of all distribution center activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of facilities, directing the flow of goods to store locations, and overseeing inventory control. This role involves the development of strategic distribution initiatives, including continuous inventory replenishment, demand estimation, and just-in-time inventory control. The VP will also be tasked with driving the implementation of distribution strategies for increased productivity and technology improvements, as well as managing the financial planning of distribution with a focus on expense control. Applicants must have a proven track record of results-oriented leadership, strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide technical, operational, and strategic leadership in the areas of distribution and forecasting. The role requires a mature sense of self, the ability to manage in a high-growth, rapidly changing corporate environment, and a demonstrated ability to produce results by leveraging resources and managing key initiatives effectively. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA preferred, and at least 10-15 years of experience in distribution, logistics, and operations, including 5 or more years in executive management within a publicly traded retailing company. The ideal candidate will have experience in a billion-dollar-plus retail growth company and be adept at problem-solving in the areas of distribution, inventory control, and SKUs.
