Our client, a healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, is seeking a Billing/Posting Clerk-Medical to join their team. As a Billing/Posting Clerk-Medical, you will be part of the finance department supporting the billing and collections team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Range: based on experience

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

What's the Job?

• Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable claims to ensure timely resolution
• Handle payor inquiries professionally and efficiently
• Refile claims as needed to facilitate accurate billing
• Manage appeals and claim resolution activities to maximize collections
• Maintain accurate records of billing activities and communications

What's Needed?

• Healthcare billing and collections experience
• AR follow-up experience
• Knowledge of insurance payors and claims processing
• Experience handling denied claims, appeals, and claim resubmissions preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
