Section Chief - Revenue Section

Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks a section chief for the Revenue Section, a part of the Agency Counsel Division of the Attorney General’s Office. The Section Chief supervises and manages the Revenue Section’s dozen or so lawyers and support staff and is the Office’s lead representative to the Iowa Department of Revenue. The Section represents the Department before courts and administrative tribunals and gives legal advice to the agency on matters related to its operations. Litigation occurs primarily in state courts and federal bankruptcy courts to enforce and recover state tax assessments. This position is responsible for providing legal services and advice in the field of tax, lottery and ABD and tobacco compliance.
