Fund Formation and Investment Management Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level Fund Formation and Investment Management Associate to join its practice in New York. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of relevant experience in fund formation and investment management, with a focus on structuring and negotiating for institutional investors. Duties Assist in fund and management structuring. Negotiate with institutional investors, including government pension plans and endowments. Handle secondary sales of LP fund stakes on both buy- and sell-side. Participate in GP-led fund restructurings. Draft and review legal documents with precision. Collaborate with partners, senior counsels, and clients. Requirements 2-6 years of experience in fund formation and investment management. Knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act registration and compliance. Understanding of the Securities Act as it pertains to private investment funds. Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude. Exceptional work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Education JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Active member in good standing of the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) where admitted. Skills Excellent document drafting skills.
