Behavioral Health Supervisor

As a Behavioral Health Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting our mission by overseeing the delivery of clinical services, guiding a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring that each client receives coordinated, effective care. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of treatment goals for clients by collaborating with Mental Health Technicians (MHT), Community Support Specialists (CSS), Peer Support Specialists (PSS), and other team members.
  • Develop treatment goals and interventions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Lead team meetings to ensure effective communication and service coordination.
  • Review clinical logs and assign interventions to appropriate staff members.
  • Provide training, guidance, and direction to team members to support professional growth and service quality.
  • Assist with intake assessments under the supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP).
  • Ensure that each client has an up-to-date Individual Crisis Plan on file.
  • Participate in collaborative meetings with internal staff, external agencies, and community supports as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention services to clients as required.
  • Complete initial and concurrent authorization assessment paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and effective clinical documentation for all client interactions, including no-shows and outreach attempts.
  • Utilize computer systems for documentation and billing purposes, with training provided as needed.
  • Document services provided in accordance with clinical standards and office deadlines.
  • Attend supervision meetings, trainings, and staff meetings as scheduled.
  • Respond to phone calls promptly and professionally.
  • Follow all safety protocols and actively participate in organizational evaluations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work; or
  • Master’s degree in a mental health-related field (Arts, Science, or Education) with at least 70% of coursework in core mental health disciplines.
  • Minimum of 15 hours of graduate-level coursework and/or practicum experience in applied intervention strategies/methods for behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders, as part of or in addition to the master’s degree.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize electronic documentation systems.
