Salary: $15.15 per hour

Summary of Function:

Serves students. Provides registration, cashier, community liaison, and operational/administrative assistance and support to the Entrepreneur College and Reskilling & Technical Center.

Typical Duties:

• Serves students. Responsible for AWC's admission and registration of Continuing Education students, as well as AWC walk-in students who need assistance. Responds to inquiries by phone and in person from students, staff, faculty, and other college departments, providing appropriate information on courses and services provided.
• Receives and processes payment for all college monies, including (but not limited to) registration fees, testing fees, graduation fees, and bus pass fees. Accepts third-party authorizations for student accounts and determines the amount to be collected from the student. Ensure proper general ledger account numbers are used for the correct accounting of college revenues.
• Provides general college and specific departmental information and assistance on Continuing Education and all other programs housed at the Reskilling and Technology Center. Assist Specialists and Coordinators with outreach and recruitment activities, working cooperatively with partner agencies, educational institutions, and businesses.
• Assists with creating sponsor billing and invoices for Continuing Education. As needed, assist with budget tasks such as data entry, fund transfer requests, and similar tasks.
• Assists Specialists and the Coordinator with maintaining the database and housing data of all non-credit programs. Assist with data preparation for required reports, including FTSE, Perkins, ETPL, and applicable grants.
• Aids with community outreach for Continuing Education promotion through advertisement platforms; Internet, television, radio, newspaper, multiple social media outlets, etc. Assists with creating flyers and marketing materials. Update bulletin and office Informant boards.
• Responsible for ensuring the cash drawer is maintained with adequate change to cover business needs. Responsible for balancing cash drawers daily.
• Responsible for timely communication with internal and external contacts in AWC emails and the general Continuing Education email. Assist with composing, editing, typing, and proofreading correspondence, reports, memos, and other documents as requested by the Specialist, Coordinator, and Director.
• Monitor students and secure classroom labs; proctor students during testing; open up and/or lock up and secure building as needed; prepare learning materials for non-credit classes. Coordinates and assists with student testing at the Reskilling and Technology Center as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior office experience is preferred

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

• Arizona Driver's License or Equivalent

Position Type & Work Schedule:

• Part-time
• Up to 19 hours per week
• Work flexible schedule to meet the program, department, and/or institutional needs, which may include Fridays, nights, and/or weekends

• Skill in current technologies and word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software, specifically Microsoft Office applications, Windows, college system platforms, software, and applications, especially those specific to the department operations

• Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
• Ability to complete all departmental and/or institutional mandatory training or development

Work Environment:

• Inside office environment with normal noise and lighting levels
• Work is performed in an open office environment with staff, students, and community contact and interruptions
• Working environment may include various locations across the service district, with varying noise levels, indoor and/or outdoor locations as needed to support program, department, or institutional needs

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
• May lift, carry, push, and/or pull, at times, a minimum of 10 pounds
• Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or twist

Travel:

• Required to travel to other locations using various modes of private, commercial, or fleet transportation, and as needed to support program, department, and institutional needs
