Plumbing Designer

Plumbing Designer – Kansas City, Missouri As part of the Buildings Group for Garver, this Plumbing Designer will be responsible for developing plumbing designs in support of various Buildings Business Line projects. The role includes planning, design, and commissioning of Domestic water systems Sanitary sewer systems Roof/storm drain systems Additionally, coordinate with other support disciplines and regional offices; assist engineers in design; follow QA/QC plans. Key Abilities and Attributes Knowledge of building plumbing system principles Interfacing with project teams on design, delivery, construction Managing project budget and schedule compliance Plumbing design throughout lifecycle (conceptual, design, construction) Utilizing BIM design software to produce construction drawings Using software-based calculation tools for design calculations Managing multiple assignments concurrently Time management and product quality responsibility Following QA/QC plans Continuing education and learning based on project needs Requirements Minimum 5 years of building plumbing system design and construction experience Knowledge base of building plumbing system principals related to design Proven experience with plumbing system designs, detailed plans, specifications Strong communication and team collaboration skills Experience with Autodesk Revit Proficiency with MS Office Suite Preferred Skills Medical gas system design experience Petroleum, oil, and lubricating (POL) design experience Food service plumbing systems design experience Fire sprinkler system design experience Experience with AIA MasterSpec EEO Statement Garver is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees.
