Job Title

ICU Registered Nurse (MICU) – Nights

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU within a Level III Trauma Center, managing a wide range of adult diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, GI bleed, cardiac arrest, renal failure, cardiogenic shock, and substance abuse/overdose
• Maintain RN-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 for high-acuity ICU patients, and 1:4 or 1:5 when floating to Medical/Surgical units
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed, managing up to 4–5 patients per assignment
• Accurately read and interpret telemetry strips for patients across ICU and Med/Surg settings
• Document all patient care activities using the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Collaborate with attending physicians and residents who are present in the ICU 24 hours per day

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of continuous Adult ICU (MICU) experience
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Willingness and ability to float to Medical/Surgical units as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of continuous MICU experience in a single facility
• Prior experience in a community hospital or trauma center environment
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
