Litigation Paralegal - Product Liability & Toxic Tort Defense

A highly respected Florida defense firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its Product Liability and Toxic Tort practice. This team represents manufacturers, insurers, healthcare organizations and other sophisticated corporate clients in complex, high‑exposure litigation throughout Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys substantive involvement in cases, trial preparation, and working alongside experienced litigators on challenging matters involving product liability, toxic exposure, environmental claims, catastrophic injury, and other complex defense litigation. Schedule & Work Environment Typical schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Firm generally prefers attorneys and staff onsite five days per week to promote collaboration, training, and team development. Hybrid flexibility may be available for exceptional candidates, generally 3–4 days onsite per week. Ability to travel within Florida for trial attendance as needed. Responsibilities Review, organize, analyze, and summarize large volumes of case documents and records. Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from inception through trial. Prepare witness files, trial exhibits, hearing materials, and case notebooks. Coordinate with expert witnesses, including document collection, scheduling, and trial preparation. Draft and manage discovery responses, subpoenas, and litigation‑related filings. Conduct medical record reviews and prepare case summaries. Manage document productions and maintain litigation databases. Assist with trial preparation and attend trials throughout Florida as needed. File pleadings and litigation documents in Florida state and federal courts utilizing CM/ECF and applicable e‑filing systems. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience. Prior experience supporting complex litigation matters, preferably in product liability, toxic tort, insurance defense, general liability, construction defect, medical malpractice, or commercial litigation. Demonstrated trial preparation and trial support experience. Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court procedures. Experience with CM/ECF filing systems and litigation document management.
