An opportunity is available for a skilled Operating Room Technician to provide essential patient care and unit support within a busy surgical suite. This contract role requires a professional who follows established protocols and contributes to high-quality surgical care. Key Responsibilities Adhere consistently to organizational policies and ethical standards, ensuring patient safety and quality care. Complete and maintain all regulatory and mandatory training including licensing and certification within deadlines. Anticipate and meet the needs of patients and surgical teams by preparing cases based on surgeon preference cards and assisting with procedures such as dressings or cast application. Perform accurate counts of surgical instruments and materials before and after procedures, reporting any discrepancies and updating preference cards as necessary. Identify and address issues proactively to improve department operations, including working flexible shifts and contributing to process improvement or cost‑saving initiatives. Participate in staff training and development activities. Qualifications and Desired Experience Experience in Operating Room Technician duties with strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrument handling. Demonstrated ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast‑paced surgical environment. Current and valid licensing and certifications relevant to the role. Commitment to maintaining compliance with safety and healthcare regulations.
