At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget./ppJob Purpose/Overview/ppThe Parasitology Laboratory Aide is responsible for the collection, processing and preparing of fecal samples./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities/ppTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions./pulliCollect fecal specimens from login, scan into loads, and prepare for set up./liliMeet all minimum department requirements for para loads and Fcombo set-up rates./liliAccurately building loads and label processing tubes/liliSplit specimens for Giardia ELISA when required/liliFind missing specimens. Print and reconcile queue list/liliMaintain organization of storage refrigerator/liliMaintain all equipment including hoods, centrifuges, etc./liliAwareness of quality control and calibration/liliCrosstrain and develop knowledge of multiple specialties within department/lab./liliFollows applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including safety and quality procedures. Maintains clean and organized work area. Restocks supplies as needed/liliParticipates in improving lab efficiency, quality, and cooperation./liliConsult with senior peers on non-complex Parasitology tasks to learn through experience./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulpWe share a collaborative obligation to ensure that we conduct ourselves in the utmost ethical manner and that we hold each other accountable to the values and standards of the organization.
