Job Summary:
MS (Medical Surgical) Nurse Wausau, WI. This position involves providing high-quality inpatient care within a 10-bed unit dedicated to Palliative, Comfort/Hospice, and Medical Surgical patients. The role requires a compassionate, resilient nurse capable of managing change efficiently and working well in a social and team-oriented environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Wausau, WI
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, starting 10/05/2026 with end date 01/02/2027
• Shift Requirements: 12 days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Float Requirements: To any inpatient unit, all shifts may include low census hours in hour increments
• Required Certifications: Wisconsin RN, American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate, at least 1 year inpatient Palliative Care experience preferred, Basic Emergency Medical Skill set required, experience with Epic charting system required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Palliative Care/Hospice and Medical Surgical experience
• Additional Information: Care will focus on Palliative, Comfort/Hospice, and Medical Surgical cases. The unit has a 10-bed capacity with a staffing ratio of 2 RNs and 1 Certified Nursing Assistant per 10 patients. Scrub colors may vary. GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation; the traveler will have guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed.
• Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday
