Registered Nurse (RN) – GI Lab / OR PACU
Location: Simpsonville, SC 29681
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Rotating Day | 8:00-Hour Shifts
Schedule: Call Required | 4–5 Days/Month | 1 Weekend Shift Every Other Month | Floating as Needed
Local Candidates: Accepted
Traveler Candidates: Accepted
First-Time Travelers: Not Accepted
Pay Rate:
Traveler: $50 - $55
Local: $45- $50
Shift Options:
- 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
- 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent GI Lab and OR PACU experience — Required
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact RN license — Required
- BLS certification — Required
- ACLS certification — Required
- NIHSS certification — Required
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience — Required
- Experience with Pyxis and Omnicell — Preferred
- Ability to participate in call rotation
- Ability to float to other facilities as required
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care before, during, and after GI procedures
- Recover patients safely following procedural sedation and anesthesia
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs during recovery
- Administer medications using Pyxis and Omnicell
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Participate in the required on-call rotation
- Float to other facilities based on operational needs
- Follow patient-safety, infection-control, and facility protocols
