Job Summary: Mammographer (Diagnostic Mammography Technologist) New York, New York. The organization is seeking a Diagnostic Mammography Technologist to perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography while demonstrating proficiency in positioning, compression, and technique factors. The role involves ensuring images are correctly labeled, evaluating image technical acceptability, and ensuring studies are completed and transmitted appropriately. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: MondayFriday (MF) with shift options of 8:00 AM4:00 PM and 9:00 AM5:00 PM; minimum 37.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: New York State license of Diagnostic Radiography; registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); must maintain Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications: None listed.
• Additional Information:
  • Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography.
  • Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factor.
  • Ensure all radiographic images are appropriately labeled according to the department Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Evaluate images for technical acceptability and ensure images are transmitted to Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure studies performed are completed in Electronic Medical Record (Epic) and accurately record required patient tracking information in the tracking system.
