Includes ascending and descending ladders on railcars, trucks, loadout towers, platforms, etc.Perform and accurately record metal detector, magnet checks, safety checks, inspections, and other required paperworkAccurate, timely communication with Shop Checker, railroad, Logistics Planner and Team LeaderOperate Warehouse Management SystemPerform sanitation, cleaning and maintaining all loading areas, including railcars and equipmentManage pallet count, rework, refeed processes and communicationsThis position will work in the Flour Mill performing sanitation duties when the department is fully staffedParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performanceAssist in training new employeesAssist other plant areas as assignedHigh school diploma or GED2+ years of warehouse/forklift experienceAbility to work 8-hour shiftsMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergensExperience in a manufacturing/production environment preferredApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification.General Mills is an equal opportunity employer.
