Phlebotomist

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. This position is for a Phlebotomist located in Manassas, VA. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, with rotating Saturdays. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic purposes. Enter patient data accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as required. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or at least three months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Certification must come from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
