We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to become a vital part of our urgent care team!

In the role of Radiology Technologist, you will engage in both clinical and administrative tasks within our healthcare settings, adhering to established policies and procedures. You will work under the guidance of a physician, handling patient intake, following standing orders or protocols, performing venipuncture, conducting laboratory tests, and ensuring patient follow-up. Additionally, you will administer medications—oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal—as directed by a provider, once you have demonstrated your competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or their designee. Certified Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) in Radiologic Technology will also be responsible for performing and transmitting X-ray diagnostic images. This position requires appropriate documentation in medical records and aims to facilitate optimal patient flow.

• Comply with our organization's Code of Conduct and Compliance plan, adhering to governmental and accreditation standards. Complete all required training, including safety, infection control, OSHA, CPR, EMR, general compliance, harassment, and service. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of equipment and patient rooms, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.

• Adapt to new technologies and effectively utilize the electronic health record system. Manage patient flow through consistent communication with patients and their families, prioritizing their time and comfort. Conduct various tests and provide care in line with our practices, including spirometry/PFTs, measuring vitals and BMI, EKGs, vision and hearing tests, splinting, and general patient care under medical supervision. Follow up with patients regarding lab tests, experiences, and clinical results professionally.

• Perform venipuncture and selected laboratory tests (point of care); initiate care pathways as per policy. Conduct X-ray procedures as ordered by medical providers, forwarding images to the appropriate radiologist for review, while ensuring the maintenance of X-ray equipment and adherence to safety protocols. Foster a respectful environment for patients, families, vendors, and colleagues, maintaining professional communication.

• Deliver care that aligns with our mission, vision, and values, building patient trust and loyalty by exceeding expectations. Act as a patient escort throughout their care journey and assist with discharges, ensuring clarity for patients and their families. Support new clinical and service initiatives, actively seeking ways to enhance care and the patient experience.

• Assist team members during busy periods or delays in patient processing. Understand and engage in basic computer and patient intake tasks at the front desk. Support medical providers during patient examinations, testing, and education. Under the supervision of a medical provider, prepare and administer oral medications and injections (limited to intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular) after demonstrating competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or their designee.

• Associate degree.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Externship experience in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in a medical office.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Certification.
• Licensure in Maryland, Virginia, or DC.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 per hour.
