Payroll Specialist

Description Full-Time | On-Site at Corporate Office Are you a payroll professional who takes pride in getting the details right? The Gurley Leep Automotive Family is a growing family-owned business, looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team at their Mishawaka, IN headquarters. This is a fast-paced position supporting payroll across multiple dealerships and a variety of compensation structures, including technicians, commissioned team members, administrative staff, hourly, and salaried team members . Remote and hybrid work options are not available. If you're an experienced payroll professional looking for a role where accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail matter. What You’ll Do Process weekly payroll accurately and on time. Review and validate timecards, hours, commissions, technician flat rate/guarantee hours, bonuses, and other compensation. Gather and verify payroll information from multiple sources. Identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll is finalized. Work closely with managers to ensure accurate payroll reporting. Process payroll adjustments, corrections, deductions, bonuses, and special payments. Maintain accurate payroll records and protect highly confidential employee information. LEEP123 Requirements What We’re Looking For A minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience required; automotive dealership payroll experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and multiple data sources. Experience with commissions, flat rate pay, hourly, and salaried compensation preferred. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Dependable, organized, and able to meet weekly deadlines.
