About This Role

Teaching Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced teacher to join our educational team and lead a cohesive teaching team, develop and implement educational curriculum, and manage the day-to-day activities of the classroom.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development, excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to create a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children can thrive.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement educational curriculum aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, incorporating classroom activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.

Lead by example, fostering a collaborative teaching team through modeling and coaching, and providing individual and group activities that engage children and encourage learning.

Maintain open communication with parents through regular discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences, ensuring the needs of children and families are met.

Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations, maintaining a healthy classroom environment that prioritizes hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.

Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers, promoting adherence to planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards.

Maintain accurate records, forms, and files, and prioritize personal professional development to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

A strong understanding of child development.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.

High energy.

Ability to work well with others.

Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

Minimum of 1-3 years of professional child care experience in a licensed facility.
