Social Media Content Specialist

Job Summary Our client is seeking a Social Content Specialist to join their team! This position is located in Chicago, Illinois. Responsibilities Lead daily social operations, including content creation (approx. 80% of time): create thumb‑stopping content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms; shoot original videos, take photos, design static graphics, produce short‑form videos while maintaining project timelines. Coordinate content production workflows with stakeholders, manage asset requests, approvals, and publishing schedules. Write copy for post captions and proactive engagement duties of the Consumer Engagement team. Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to align content with brand strategy and campaign goals. Stay ahead of social trends, platform updates and emerging formats to inform content strategy. Run the brand’s organic social handles, engage via direct message with followers and prospective audiences, while maintaining the brand’s expression. Plan and execute social media campaigns (approx. 20% of time), coordinate across platforms, track performance and implement metrics. Maintain social media content calendars across multiple platforms ensuring brand consistency. Provide tactical recommendations for content optimization based on trend monitoring. Required Skills / Experience 2+ years of experience in social media management with strong operational coordination and campaign execution. Excellent copywriting and communication skills with proven experience in content creation and coordination. Strong graphic design, videography, photography and video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, etc.). Strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously. Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, best practices and content optimization techniques. Experience with social media management tools (Sprinklr preferred). Detail‑oriented, strong follow‑through and accountability. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Experience with social media analytics and performance reporting. Preferred Skills / Experience Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design or a related field. Location Chicago, Illinois Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $17.00 and $25.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on background, knowledge, skills and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
