Team members join a close-knit environment focused on customer experience and brand storytelling. ---------------------------- Role Description The Social Media Intern will support the social media & marketing team by assisting with daily content creation, posting, and community engagement across social media platforms. Responsibilities include capturing and editing photos or short-form videos of products and in-store experiences, writing captions aligned with brand voice, and scheduling posts for channels such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The intern will help monitor comments and messages, respond to followers in a professional manner, and gather user-generated content. Additional tasks include tracking basic performance metrics, assisting with campaign planning, and brainstorming ideas to promote new arrivals and in-store events. This is a internship, on-site role based in Chesapeake, VA, requiring regular in-store presence during agreed hours of 11am to 5pm Mon to Thurs. ------------------------------- Looking for a Social Media Intern ( Unpaid ) to help assist the Social Media Manager with the following. Content Creation Photography Videography Editing Other Social Media Operations ------------------------------------------- Key Responsibilities Assist with content planning, including photos, videos, and captions Assist with content creation via TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, & Pinterest Assist with photography & videography shoots Monitor social media trends and suggest new content ideas Engage with followers (comments, DMs, community interaction) Support product launches and promotional campaigns Collaborate on influencer outreach and partnerships ------------------------------------------- Qualifications Current High School or College Student Looking for work experience / internship experience studying ( Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Communications, Social Media or related field ) Reliable transportation to and from work and shoots Must be able to commute to stores inside Lynnhaven and Greenbrier Mall when required Laptop ( Not Required ) Some experience using the following equipment and software ( or open to learning ) ------------------------------------------- Compensation Internship credit for class ( make sure once hired to provide all paperwork needed by college to obtain credit ) Letters of Recommendation 3 Professional References Opportunity to grow into a paid position upon end of internship / performance ------------------------------------------- Flexible Hours All employees receive a 30% discount at all locations in-store and online.
