Senior Director, Product Marketing (Mid-Market X3)

Job Description As the Senior Director, Product Marketing (Sage X3), you will lead the global product marketing strategy for one of Sage's most strategic ERP solutions, helping shape business growth, market positioning, and commercial success. Acting as a key partner to Product, Sales, Growth, and Executive Leadership teams, you will translate market insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence into compelling go-to-market strategies, differentiated messaging, and growth initiatives that accelerate adoption and revenue performance.Reporting into VP Product Marketing - Medium, you'll own the end-to-end product marketing agenda for Sage X3, including market strategy, positioning, launches, commercial enablement, and customer insight. You'll lead and develop a global team of product marketing professionals while influencing cross-functional stakeholders across product, sales, partners, brand, and communications. This role requires a commercially-minded leader who thinks like a general manager, combines strategic vision with execution excellence, and can align global teams around a common growth agenda while driving measurable business outcomes.Key Responsibilities What You'll DoShape Business Strategy and Growth• Partner with product, sales, and growth to translate market opportunities into actionable business strategies that accelerate product growth.• Lead market sizing, segmentation, and TAM/SAM/SOM analysis to identify growth opportunities, prioritize investments, and inform annual and long-range planning.• Develop portfolio and proposition strategies that balance customer value, competitive dynamics, product maturity, pricing, packaging, and route-to-market considerations.Define the Product Narrative• Own product & solution positioning, messaging, and category narrative, establishing a differentiated market position.• Build messaging architectures across products, industries, buyer segments, and regions, ensuring global consistency while enabling local market relevance.• Coach and develop the PMM team on research-driven messaging, value propositions, customer evidence, and storytelling.• Develop compelling claims, customer proof points, and thought leadership that strengthen commercial performance and market perception.• Partner with Brand, Communications, and Demand Generation to amplify product message across analysts, media, customers, prospects, and partners.Lead Go-to-Market Strategy and Commercial Execution• Own end-to-end go-to-market strategy across acquisition, expansion, partner, and AI monetization motions.• Provide strategic direction to growth, sales, and partner teams to ensure successful launch and commercialization of new innovations.• Drive readiness planning, cross-functional alignment, dependency management, and execution governance across major launches and strategic initiatives.• Partner with Sales Enablement and sales leadership to equip customer-facing teams with compelling stories, playbooks, competitive intelligence, and proof points that improve pipeline generation and win rates.• Use customer, market, and performance data to continually optimize commercial execution and growth outcomes.Build Market and Customer Insight• Lead customer, analyst, market, and competitive research programs that inform business strategy and uncover opportunities for differentiation.• Develop a deep understanding of mid-market finance buyers, industry trends, customer adoption behaviors, and competitive alternatives.• Translate insights into recommendations that influence product roadmap, packaging, pricing, investment priorities, and GTM strategy.• Serve as the voice of the customer across executive and product leadership teams.Build and Lead a High-Performing Team• Lead, coach, and develop a team of product marketing leaders responsible for core product, and industry marketing• Foster a high-performance culture centered on accountability, collaboration, customer obsession, and commercial impact.• Drive execution across complex workstreams while creating clarity, alignment, and focus across the organization.• Establish scalable PMM processes, operating rhythms, and best practices that support business growth.What You'll BringLeadership Profile• You think like a general manager, not just a product marketer.
