Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Trauma Unit

Location: West Virginia

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Trauma Unit. The unit, part of a Level 1 Trauma Center, specializes in providing care for patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and complicated trauma cases. Our nursing staff employs advanced monitoring techniques and a collaborative approach to patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, particularly trauma and surgical cases.
• Administer medications and manage titratable IV drips.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize advanced technology for patient monitoring and care management.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN License
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience in a medical/surgical or trauma setting is preferred.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
