Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - 13-Week Contract Location: Robinson, IL
Facility: Crawford Memorial Hospital
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 36 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: $60-$63/hour
Shift Schedule
- Hours: 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM
- Rotating Schedule:
- Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
MTK Healthcare Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment at Crawford Memorial Hospital. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care by assessing and treating patients with respiratory disorders, administering prescribed therapies, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and reassessments.
- Administer respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, and prescribed medications.
- Monitor patient response to therapy, including vital signs and arterial blood gases.
- Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing and respiratory procedures.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and calibration of respiratory equipment.
- Follow established safety, infection control, and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care.
- Active Illinois Respiratory Therapist License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP Certifications
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred
- Strong computer skills with EMR experience
- Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
