Minneapolis VA Medical Center is one of the VA's four polytrauma medical centers to care for active-duty service members and Veterans with brain injuries, who are blind, or have had an amputation and maintains a 65,000 square foot center to care for Veterans with spinal cord injuries and disorders. Anesthesiologist - RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Anesthesiologist provides clinical anesthesiology services and patient care pre and post op.
• The Anesthesiologist monitors patients while in surgery.
• Care for patients in ICU, short stay unit, acute pain management, and emergency airway management.
• The Anesthesiologist reviews medical files and lab results.
• Informing patients about risks associated with anesthesia.

Anesthesiologist - REQUIREMENTS

• Current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
• Currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
• Must have a minimum of two years of recent experience.
