About the Role:

The Interventional Radiologist (Part-Time) plays a critical role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions using minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. This position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care by utilizing advanced imaging technologies such as fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound to perform therapeutic and diagnostic interventions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment plans that improve patient outcomes while minimizing risks and recovery times. This role requires a commitment to staying current with evolving interventional radiology techniques and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Ultimately, the Interventional Radiologist will contribute to enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the healthcare facility’s radiology services on a part-time basis across various clinical settings in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology.
• Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.
• Demonstrated experience performing a broad range of interventional radiology procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary hospital or outpatient clinical setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and radiology information systems (RIS).
• Additional certifications in advanced imaging techniques or patient safety.
• Strong background in research or academic contributions to interventional radiology.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform image-guided interventional procedures including angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainages, and vascular access placement.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies to guide treatment decisions and ensure accurate procedural planning.
• Collaborate with referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-specific treatment strategies.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, documenting procedures, patient progress, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements related to interventional radiology.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Provide patient consultation and education regarding procedures, risks, benefits, and post-procedural care.
