Responsible for supervisng a unionized workforce’s daily operation of Technical Operations Supply Chain operation of aircraft parts and tooling, to include, shipping, receiving, inventorying and movement of company materials. This also includes the supervision of all Stores personnel assigned to the operation.What you'll doAs noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Supervises and assigns job responsibilities to the front line team in one or more occupationsCoordinates with TechOps and Supply Chain partners on status of material requestsManages all Administrative duties within the Supply departmentInterprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulationsRecommends or initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measuresMaintains time and attendance records as well as personnel files and performance recordsMaintains audit complianceMaintains warehouse and supply locations assigned; maintain an efficient and orderly workforce/operationLeads regularly scheduled crew briefings to communicate to team members department Policy and Procedural changesAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED equivalency3 years of relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics or equivalent experience/trainingPrevious supervisory experienceExtensive Supply Chain or Logistics experienceSkills, Licenses & CertificationsExtensive Supply Chain experience in Automotive, Aviation, or Electrical IndustriesKnowledge of applicable computer systems used by frontline membersKnowledge of how to find, read, and understand FAR's and how best to apply them to the line supply organizationAbility to quickly grasp various Collective Bargaining Agreement language and interpret it then apply the language to various situationsKnowledge of shipping limitations or the ability to quickly find these limitations as outlined in the IATA and 49 CFRMust be able to walk extensively between HangarsMust posess a current and valid driver's licenseMust be able to work all shifts, 24/7, including holidaysSome travel requiredMust be willing to work extended hours based on operational needsWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
