About the Role:
Join MEDDERS CONSTRUCTION CO INC as a Framer and play a pivotal role in building exceptional structures in La Porte, TX. We are seeking skilled individuals who are passionate about construction and eager to contribute to our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, and assemble framing materials according to project specifications.
Install wall frames, floor systems, and roofing structures with precision.
Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely project completion.
Read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
Inspect and replace damaged framing materials as necessary.
Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely.
Assist in training and mentoring junior framers on best practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a framer or in a similar construction role.
Strong knowledge of framing techniques and building codes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiarity with hand and power tools used in framing.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
