Summary: Troubleshoots, repairs, builds, and installs plant production and support equipment.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of the maintenance technician is to safely and efficiently perform top-quality operational duties on a daily basis which include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Bends conduit, pulls wire, and hooks up equipment
• Maintain machine and support equipment PMs
• Performs other work-related duties and tasks as assigned by maintenance supervisor or group leader.

Supervisory responsibilities: None.

Qualifications: Trained in use and operation of electrical and hydraulic systems.

Education and/or experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training from the military, vocational/technical school or college. Three years' experience as a technician in an industrial maintenance department.

Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend sufficient English to follow work instructions and blueprints. Must be able to communicate well verbally with others.

Mathematical skills: Basic mathematical skills associated with the position.

Reasoning ability: Strong reasoning ability to troubleshoot machines. Must work well with little supervision.

Certificates, licenses, registrations: Must be able to achieve and retain a forklift license.

Training requirements:

• General job duties: Trouble shooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and PLCs.
• Line operation: Responsible for getting lines that go down back to production in a timely manner.
• Quality control & auditing: N/A
