Position Details Location: Mercy Hospital Jefferson, 1400 US Highway 61, Festus, MO 63028 Hours: Part-Time - 2 12's, Nights Sign on Bonus Eligible! Graduate Nurse $5,000 Experienced Nurse (1+ year) $10,000 About our Rehabilitation Unit We are also known as Acute Rehab, ARU or Inpatient Rehab. Rehabilitation nursing offers a gratifying career for nurses who want to use all of their clinical skills, make a visible difference in their patients' lives, and work as part of a collaborative healthcare team. We provide comprehensive collaborative care to all adult and adult geriatric patients with neurological and other medical conditions of recent onset or regression and who have experienced loss of functions in activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, or communication. Frequent diagnoses: CVA, brain injury, spinal injury, amputation, hip fracture, joint replacement, and other neurological syndromes. Responsibilities Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Qualifications Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure: Personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure, meeting all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
