Sourcing Project Manager

Strategic Sourcing ManagerSalary: $61,500 with $6,500 bonus potentialDevelop and manage strategic supplier relationships, optimize procurement and sourcing processes, and drive cost savings while minimizing supply chain risk. Partner cross-functionally with Research & Development (R&D), Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to support product development, supplier onboarding, regulatory compliance, and successful domestic and international product launches.Responsibilities/Duties:Partner with sourcing leadership team to manage the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spendingDevelop and partner with trustworthy vendors and suppliers, domestically and internationallyCreate metrics to evaluate and monitor supplier effectiveness to generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategiesAnalyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditureCreate negotiation strategies and secure profitable dealsOptimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiencyResearch and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliersPerform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarkingEstimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques to ensure supply chain protectionMinimize supply chain risk by diversifying supply partners via dual sourcing and geographical locationsFacilitate meetings for supply chain development and sourcing effortsModify and communicate any changes to prints showing critical changes made and/or requiredOnboard new suppliers by processing all necessary regulatory documents required to add a new supplier to the Pride Mobility Approved Supplier List (ASL)Prepare Oracle Purchase orders/requisitions to support R&D samples or tooling ordersFacilitate supplier visits within the facility for all departments that must be in attendanceFacilitate productivity of multiple teams such as Research & Development (R&D) Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Designs, Drafting, Test Lab and Machine ShopDevelop strong working relationships with all functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales and DistributionCooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processesDevelop familiarity with regulatory requirements to make compliance recommendationsTravel to domestic and international contract manufacturers as needed for product launchesDetermine quantity and timing of deliveriesEnsure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to managementComplete the Annual CTPAT Security TrainingFocus on continuous improvement and provide recommended solutions as it relates to process and proceduresConsistently demonstrate good business judgment especially as related to negotiating and closing salesWork effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectationsPride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessaryRequired Skills:Must be a friendly team player, professional, detail-oriented, and honestMust have the ability to: multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment; work as part of a multi-disciplined cross-functional team; travel domestically and internationally as needed; read and interpret mechanical drawings and instructions as required; prepare and present summary reportsMust have: relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement; strong relationship building and negotiating skills; strong emotional intelligence and collaboration; excellent financial and analytical skills; basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Skills:Basic working knowledge of Oracle and/or Agile preferredLift/push/pull 40 lbs. preferredRequired Experience:At least 3 years of experience as a strategic sourcing or procurement professional responsible for developing, assessing, and negotiating a viable supply chainPreferred Experience:At least 2 years of global sourcing experience including Mexico preferredAt least 1 year of the above required experience to be in a manufacturing environment preferredAt least 1 year of experience with the specific products preferredCurrent or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferredRequired Education:Associate Degree in an Engineering or Business/Healthcare related field, OR High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 years of the required experiencePreferred Education:Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Business/Healthcare related field preferredRequired Qualifications:Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the futureDetails:This job description is not intended to be all-inclusiveThis is a safety sensitive positionIn exceptional circumstances, some of the physical requirements of this position may be modified or eliminated as a reasonable accommodation for a person with a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities ActPride Mobility Products®/Quantum Rehab® is an Equal Opportunity employer.
