Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support under the direction of the physician or office nurse. Responsibilities include patient preparation, clinical procedures, documentation, phone support, and maintaining exam rooms and supplies.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience in a medical setting required.
• Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program/training required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Experience with blood draws, injections, immunizations, and laboratory testing.
• Experience taking vital signs and assisting physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate medical records and complete referrals, lab slips, and other documentation.
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
• Must be flexible, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
