The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services. This role requires strong animal handling skills and the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. This position is commission based with 50% going towards the groomer with tips. Responsibilities Perform grooming services including bathing, clipping, and styling of various breeds of dogs. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to provide appropriate grooming treatments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area, including tools and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options. Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process. Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or distress during grooming sessions. Assist in maintaining inventory of grooming supplies and equipment. Skills Proficient in pet grooming techniques with experience in dog handling. Knowledge of animal care, including basic veterinary practices is preferred (veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus). Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners. Ability to lift heavy animals as needed (heavy lifting required). Experience with animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during grooming sessions. Familiarity with kennel operations or equine care is advantageous.
