Job Description\n Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Macon, Georgia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 11/02/2026\n Duration: 12 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2000\n $500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - ICU\n Job Details:\n • Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required\n • First-time travelers are accepted\n • Patient ratio of 1:1-2 (rarely 1:3) with CNA support of 1-2 per shift\n • Care for medical ICU patients with common diagnoses including respiratory failure, renal failure, sepsis, GI bleed, DKA, hypotension, hypertension, stroke, pneumonia, cancer, ARDS, and overdoses\n • Manage chronic ventilators and chronic tracheostomy patients\n • Monitor and care for hemodynamically unstable patients requiring invasive monitoring and/or close observation\n • Required skills include trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips, and drips titrated to HR and BP\n • Management of vasoactive medications required\n • Monitor and manage invasive lines including arterial lines, central venous lines, pulse oximetry, and intracranial pressure monitoring\n • Assist with and manage bedside procedures including chest tube placement and management, tracheostomy, and PEG tube placement\n • Manage patients on ventilator support\n • Operate TABLO equipment\n • EMR system: EPIC\n • IV Pump: Alaris\n • Medication dispensing: Pyxis\n • Monitors: Philips\n • Unit-specific equipment includes VS3 vital sign monitors, Nova Glucose Stat Strips, Belmont Rapid Infuser, TABLO, PCA pain management, SCDs, and cooling and heating blankets and devices\n • Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS\n • CCRN (critical care nursing certification) preferred but not required\n • Scrub color: Navy\n • May be required to float to all adult ICU units in-house including PCU\n • Free parking available around campus\n Facility:\n This facility is a 637-licensed-bed Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designation. The 14-bed ICU unit operates with robust support staff including CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, a PICC team, discharge nurses, resource team floats, and respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage available 24/7.
