About the Opportunity A rapidly growing, family-owned heavy civil contractor is looking to appoint an Estimator to play a pivotal role in rebuilding and expanding its estimating function in South Texas. This isn't simply another estimating position. It's an opportunity to become one of the key people driving the next phase of growth for a business that has more than doubled in size over the past three years, generates over $500M in annual revenue, and has ambitious plans to significantly expand its Heavy Civil and Utilities operations over the next five years. You'll work directly alongside executive leadership, taking ownership of major infrastructure pursuits across transportation, heavy highway, utilities, water and wastewater projects, while helping establish what will ultimately become the company's long-term estimating team in San Antonio. Projects include: Transportation Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants Water Transmission & Distribution Pump Stations & Lift Stations FAA Projects US Army Corps of Engineers Projects Beyond producing accurate estimates, you'll also help identify commercially attractive opportunities and contribute to growing backlog across the South Texas region. What We're Looking For 5+ years of Heavy Civil estimating experience (7+ preferred) Experience estimating DOT, Utilities and/or Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects Ability to independently prepare complete proposals from start to finish Experience using HCSS and Primavera P6 Commercial mindset with strong bid strategy and risk evaluation skills High character, integrity and accountability Stable career history with demonstrated long-term commitment The Ideal Candidate This opportunity would suit an Estimator who wants more than simply pricing work.
