Mechanical Design Engineer, Safety Systems, Energy Products
Hardware FYI
Own the safety of new and existing Tesla Energy products. Drive the design of safety-critical components from conception to mass production. Perform FMEA against core safety requirements to identify potential failure causes. Develop and execute safety test validation plans in collaboration with test engineering teams. Analyze test results and drive design improvements based on data review. Promote safety and efficiencies in product design. Ensure end-to-end traceability and produce a closed-loop safety case. 2-3 years of product design experience. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Proficiency in CAD modeling, preferably CATIA V5/6. Strong understanding of structural mechanics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics. Experience with FMEA/hazard analysis and safety-critical systems. Collaborative team player with strong technical communication skills. Familiarity with battery cell manufacturing and design is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
