The procedures are part of the internal control structure used to provide reasonable assurance that objectives are met. This position shall use, comply with, and, if needed, improve these controls and procedures in the performance of duties within the Bureau of Auditing. This is a professional accounting/auditing position involving the independent application of accounting and auditing concepts, principles, theories and technical skills. This position is responsible for independently auditing and processing complex disbursement. The duties are:Audits and processes State agencies' vouchers and MFMP payment requests to ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal requirements including Florida Statutes, Attorney General Opinions, Florida Administrative Code, Chief Financial Officer memoranda, and processing procedures of the Bureau of Auditing.Audits and processes State agencies' journal transfers to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements of Florida Statutes, Attorney General Opinions, Florida Administrative Code, Chief Financial Officer memoranda, and processing procedures of the Bureau of Auditing.Communicates information relating to the audit and processing of disbursement vouchers, MFMP payment requests, and journal transfer vouchers, verbally and in writing.Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.If you are a retiree of the Florida Retirement System (FRS), please check with the FRS on how your current benefits will be affected if you are re-employed with the State of Florida.
