About the Position

Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Rehabilitation Therapy Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mon - Thurs Hours per Shift: 40 hours/week Experience: Desired, but not necessary if requirements are met License: Must have necessary requisites for licensure as a Physical Therapist. Certifications: Current valid driver’s license required. Current CPR certification required. Must-Have: Bachelor of Science or master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited college or university. Description: Evaluates, plans, and provides treatment upon referral of a physician. Treats patients with disabilities, disorders, and injuries to relieve pain and develop, restore, or maintain physical function. Utilizes exercise, massage, heat, cold, air, light, water, electricity, or sound in treatment. Works with family and health team members regarding the patients’ abilities and goals. Must have thorough knowledge of therapy procedures, current orthopedic and neurological follow-up procedures, and rehabilitation practices. Possesses a positive attitude and utilizes good communication skills. Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required. Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, and sending email messages. Holiday coverage may be required.
